Blueberry Pie with cobbler topping

Just pre-bake bottom pie crust (homemade or store bought) for about 7 minutes in oven @ 400 degrees until air bubbles start forming. Place blueberries into bottom crust, mix together these ingredients in a bowl: 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; stir and pour on top of berries. Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream while still slightly warm. Enjoy!!

Busy-busy.....with a little side finds...

It's been a long time since I blogged here! Can anyone say "FACEBOOK"?? LOL It is truly addictive. But I have enjoyed finding MANY long-lost friends, classmates, relatives, and new friends! I would love to be friends with everyone who reads and/or follows my blog too. You can find me under: Gaye Young Cooper. I also have a group on there under FeminineWays (no space), a fan page for Feminine Ways, a "Pampering" gift application, and more you can find under my tabs. I'm also planning on creating a page for Honeysuckle Farm there soon, as well as a Farmgirl page for any locals who want to join my MaryJane Farmgirl Chapter.
You'll see what I've been up to there...

Working hard...

Aside from being sick with high blood pressure, anxiety attacks, bronchitis via allergies-and other setbacks, I have been busy-busy when able. I'm always ready and willing but my body doesn't always want to cooperate....LOL

Catching up:

  1. Of course I've been busy at home as well...working in my flower gardens, vegetable gardens, spring cleaning, and my favorite occupation of playing with my sweet little eight month old granddaughter!

  2. Even though I've been working hard at gardening, mother nature is always meticulously working her magic! The yard, roadside and woods are in full array! Glorious spring blooms everywhere!

  3. My hen is setting on 11 eggs, due to hatch on Thursday, April 8! I can't wait to see those little peepers! Another little miracle of mother nature! Isn't it all so fascinating how nature, creation, procreation is full of such mystery and awe! We have an awesome God!

  4. Cooking is always on the agenda! I've been creating some new recipes lately with what I have "on hand"...Eggs being most plentiful, I've been using my creativity to see what new omelets, and such I can come up with. My latest is a seafood omelet with mushrooms. Recipes later over at http://honeysucklefarmhouse.blogspot.com

  5. But right now daylight's a'wastin'....LOL Gotta get dressed and get busy!

I hated to part with my old vintage fridge,
but at last, it died. I now have a cute little
refrigerator that suits me just as well.
There is just something about brand new
appliances that make me happy!

Lady with Tiara and Electric Stove
Lady with Tiara and Electric Stove

I've been cooking without a stove for
about a week now! Fry Daddy, Lean
Mean FAT Grilling Machine, and the
old faithful micro have certainly earned
their keep this week! I think if I had a
crock pot and electric skillet I wouldn't
even need a stove except to bake.
I LOVE baking...And of course I just
love using my old cast iron skillets for
cooking...So I'm cheering Mr. Honeysuckle
to get the stove hooked up again!

PINK lemonade....Very pink, maybe too pink??
LOL OKay I had the bright idea to add strawberry
K--Laid, to my lemonade "mix"...No it isn't even
homemade. But boy was it good after working in
the garden and picking these things below...

More yellow squash, this time I added bell
pepper, banana pepper, onion, salt, pepper
and butter...I know, I KNOW!!

And more buttermilk cornbread to go with it,
and a pot of fresh from the garden cabbage
---no not my garden.

We have been SO blessed with vegetables
