What started out as simply wanting to create a family tree, for myself, my children and grandchildren---has become an obsession. I've been researching since 1977 when I was pregnant with my first child. I "interviewed" my grandmother, Fannie Louise Parker that year and recorded it on a cassette tape, and wrote it all down in the baby book. And then...I got a WebTV in 2003, and that really started the ball rolling! If this had been a paying job---I would be rich from the long hours, late nights, and loss of sleep. It is worth it to find just a tid-bit of information, new cousins, and old family photos from distant relatives who are so generous. But alas, this is ALL still a works in progress!
