"There is in this world no function more important than that of charming. To shed joy, to radiate happiness, to cast light upon dark days, to be the golden thread of our destiny, the spirit of grace and harmony, is not this to render a service?" ~Victor Hugo

IRISH PRAYER
Said in the morning when rising...Christ be with me, be after me, be before me, and be at my right and left hand. May everything I do be for Christ.

Thank goodness I was never sent to school...Beatrix Potter quote at DailyLearners.com

Were there no God, we would be in this glorious world with grateful hearts, and no one to thank. ~ Christina Rossetti ~

A Child
They are idols of hearts and households; They are angels of God in disguise; His sunlight still sleeps in their tresses; His glory still gleams in their eyes. Oh those truants from home and from heaven, They have made me more manly and mild, And I know now how Jesus could liken, the Kingdom of God to a child. ~ Charles Dickens ~

"There is in this world no function more important than that of charming. To shed joy, to radiate happiness, to cast light upon dark days, to be the golden thread of our destiny, the spirit of grace and harmony, is not this to render a service?" ~Victor Hugo

I'll soon be 65 years old, and although my health wasn't the greatest for a long time before creating this blog and my website, I was actually diagnosed with a chronic (with acute flare-ups) auto-immune disease in about 2018, after several false diagnosis's for two years prior to that, even being hospitalized at one point for 3 days. This blog and my website is made by hand. Totally homemade! I've truly enjoyed each and every thing I've shared, made, written . . . I love it all! I've had internet since 2003, blogs and websites since about 2007, and my website since 2011. I've had affiliate links on certain pages, and I never got more than a few clicks, and no purchases, so I removed them (I'm trying to replace some of them, although they are just text links this time (that's all that is available). All of this to say, I tried to get the extra funds without out-right asking for donations. But, I still continued (and will try to continue) building, updating, adding articles, post recipes, regardless, because as I said, I love it! Even though it is tiring, painful at times, and it takes longer doing certain types of editing, searching, researching and such, I continue. Now, along with the rising cost of keeping my website domain, maintaining this blog and my website, and with more frequent auto-immune flare-ups with my health, I ask you to please consider making a donation.
